I've got the Jupiter 135mm's 11A and 37A both similar and superb performers and still very cheap.

Wow amazing shots! I also know a Jupiter 37AM was made, but their quite uncommon.. I chose 11A based on reviews that it was sharper than the 37A, hope I made the right choice. Can't wait to test it out when it arrives!

I managed to find that information too, but then it seems that it was made in japan which then lead me to think; maybe not?
I'd be interested to know who used the Westex name for their imports though, and I'd bet if you could find an old copy of Amateur Photographer from that period you could find out by going through the dealer adverts.
Sounds pretty interesting stuff to me!! Sounds like a history hunt or something.

If you are into old lenses you could visit the mflenses forum as well. I lurk there too, if not quite as much as I lurk here. They tend to be a bit too obsessed with German glass but I can live with that.

I am into old lenses, but I would rather stick to one forum than two. I have noticed it though. Looking forward to your roll of film; hope the results will be as good as they say.

The 11A I'm using is a M42 mount. Going to market today I noticed a Pentax Super or something, it had on it a 50mm f1.4 PK mount? Anyone know whether its decent or not? The aperture certainly is something interesting. Rather low price too. Anyone know much on it, and its value?

It could either be a Pentax ME Super (very common, cheap as chips but non-the-less a nice camera) or a Super A (not quite as common, still fairly cheap, equally nice). If the 50mm lens is a Pentax one, it'll be worth several times more than the camera and is certainly worth having.

Lots of film bodies, a couple of digital ones, too many lenses (mainly older glass) and a Horseman LE 5x4.

It was a SMC Pentax one, I asked him whether he had any super takumar ones, as that was what I was looking for. But the lens attached was a Pentax 50mm f1.4 manual focus lens, which was a bayonet mount. Looked in extremely good condition! Wondering how much it actually costs as he was selling it for 35 pounds, which seemed to be quite a bargain.

I don't have the usable mount adapter to use the lens, so many consider re-selling it if I buy it.

I believe it was this lens: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SMC-Pentax-M-50mm-f1-4-Pentax-K-Fit-Nice-/380309726629?pt=...

The last one of those I sold on eBay (which admittedly was absolutely mint) fetched 90 quid. In average condition you should see £70 back on one easily, £50 for a scruffy one.

If I saw one for sale for £35 with a free camera attached I'd snap it up in a heartbeat.

I'm going to grab it tomorrow!!!! I was worried because, I am unfamiliar with pentax camera's and lenses. I just know a bit about the Super Takumar's which are really well built with extremely sharp lenses. Hope no one buy's it first. Also so an Asahi Pentax camera with a 50mm f1.7; might grab that too.. See if he gives me any discount if I buy 2. I can't wait to get it tomorrow! Will surely upload photo's for you guys in my home made temporary paper background studio.

Finally I will get my first pentax camera..
