A very warm welcome from the Moderator Team! We're here to help you as much as we can, and of course just to make sure things go generally as smoothly as possible.

I'm John Riley, I've been around here for quite a while and you'll notice that I've made quite a few posts as well.

You'll fine me writing articles in Pentax User Magazine and I'm also the Chairman and Treasurer of Atherton & District Amateur Photographic Society, referred to hererafter as ADAPS. You might find me on this forum any time of the night or day.....

My fellow Moderator has been Matt (mattmatic) from the start and now we have added to the team Daniel Bridge and Ken MacGregor (gartmore) - we have nearly 10,000 registered members now so we need a bigger team to cover the forum properly.

So welcome to the new team as well as yourselves as new members.

We're a friendly place, so join in and enjoy the ambience.....

Now over to the other team members to introduce themselves!
Best regards, John

I'm Ken MacGregor and I graduated in design from The Glasgow School of Art (you couldnít study photography there, then) and found a job with a wedding photographer, culture shock and a brilliant training in achieving a 100% success shooting rate and dealing with stressed people.

I subsequently joined the BBC as a Trainee Assistant Film Cameraman and enjoyed yet more training in lighting by guys with Emmy Nominations and Bafta Lifetime Achievement Awards, quite a privilege. I lit and shot films for the BBC and eventually I became a director specialising in Music and Arts documentaries and performance which I still do as a freelancer.

Throughout I have maintained a parallel career as a professional stills photographer using most camera brands at some point but have always used Pentax. Like many people, I started with Pentax because that was what my college used and it made sense to have a body that could use all the lenses they had.

I still have that Spotmatic F and Iím still in love with it. Pentax cameras have travelled the world with me and I have had books published and exhibitions hung all from Pentax shots.

This site is a tremendous, friendly knowledge sharing resource and I feel very privileged to be a part of it.

Daniel Bridge

I'm Daniel Bridge and I've been here since March 2006. I'm a semi-professional nature photographer, working with Wildlife Trusts, running workshops, offering tuition and selling prints. I also work part time as an Assistant Visitor Centre Manager for Essex Wildlife Trust.

I've been taking photos since my early teens, got my first SLR in 1996, my first Pentax (MZ-5n) in 2003, then an *istD in 2005. My signature below shows my current camera.

Particular interests for me are close-up and macro, flowers, foliage, trees, landscapes, that sort of thing really. Oh, and playing bass guitar.

The Pentax User forum has me well and truly hooked (my wife can attest to that), and it's a great place to share knowledge, ask questions or just have a chat with like-minded people.

It's wonderful to be part of the Pentax User team, and be able to give something back to the forum that welcomed me back in 2006.
