Weekly competition winner

First of all I would like to thank ALL who entered, a great response, and some very nice images and interpretations.
I must say....it was great fun trying to work out the titles from each photo, some easier than others.
Unfortunately I'm old enough to remember ALL of them!

So on with the judging:

In order of upload......
'You can't do that' - JudithAnne: This made me smile when I read the title...who can't do that, the girl or the person she's looking at?

'Drive my car' - Garyjohn: A clever shot Gary, I did take a close look and there are THREE hands on the wheel!

'Long and winding road' - JAK: I really like this shot, with the title and also as a picture in it's own right, the patches of snow add to the photo.

'Here comes the sun' - Perspicador: I love the sparkles on the water from the sun and the light through the wings. I would have perhaps cropped a little tighter without losing those sparkles though IMHO.

'Flying' - darlene: You've caught nice flying action by the bird, it looks almost like a large insect. Another one I would have cropped in tighter though.

'Lady Madonna' - Tyronet2000: I love the simplicity of this shot, it just says "Lady Madonna" to me.

'Tip of my toungue' - Vonbatcat: I had to look this one up...but yes there was a song called this written by them.
This shot attacks the senses and nicely in your style Von..

'Elanor Rigby' - Gartmore: I wondered if anyone would do Elanor Rigby and how. Nice shot and interesting info too. I'm impressed

'Ticket to ride' - GlynM: Ah yes, somebody HAD to do this one! Nicely done, using the purse as a prop, just adds that extra interest.

'Aint she sweet' - Noelcmn: She certainly is! Love the chocolate lips...and those eyes! Great shot!

'Hard day's night' - Simonarron: I like the interpretation here, still a tiny bit of daylight left but it's dark enough for the car lights, and probably a long night ahead. Fit's the title well.....and nice light trails.

'Here comes the sun' - Offertonhatter: When I first saw this I thought the bottom part was too dark but no, a closer look revealed the subtle foreground. Lovely shot, really makes you feel warm..."Here comes the sun indeed"
'Money' - geordie01: I like the arrangement of the notes here, was it intentional I wonder? Well photographed.
I think I've only seen a 50 a couple of times in England!

'Here there and everywhere' - Dr. Orloff: Like it! Simple, effective and appropriate. Just as the title says.

'I'm looking through you' - Coker: Clever, describes the title, and a little scary

'Help' - Wendy: Oh dear! Girls will be girls. I'm assuming she's just been pushed. A well timed shot...I'm wondering which girl is calling "Help"

'Polythene Pan' - aliengrove: She does look kind of plastic doesn't she?
This is another great shot in it's own right, lovely lighting and pin sharp. She also looks like she should be called 'Pam'

'Penny Lane' - CIBarker: I thought of Penny lane too but not in this way....Very good! and well executed, i like the layout of the coins and the differential focussing.

'Birthday' - AndrewA: This is a nice shot, it makes one wonder "who's lucky enough to be 18"? I'm assuming (wrongly?) a girl.

'All you need is love' - Jim-W: Well spotted, wherever this is/was. A well composed shot too.

'Here comes the sun' - ArsenAL: Doesn't this shot just make you want to be there? Great image and yes....."Here comes the sun" Perfect timing!

'Maxwell's silver hammer' - Paul531: Well, it's a hammer and it's silver.
Actually, you've made a dull boring hammer look quite interesting because you captured so much detail here!

'Tell me what you see' - drofmit: This one just crept in last but I'm glad it did because it's a great shot and relates to the title well.
What IS the cat looking at???

Oh my....this was a REALLY difficult decision, I had so many favourites and could not decide whether to just choose my favourite shot or the one that best describes the title....

Eventually I went for a combination....

So the top three in acsending order......

SO, SO, close and many more on my 'shortlist' but well done and thanks again to everyone who made the effort....IT WAS FUN

Congratulations to the Winner and Well Done Aliengrove. Thank You for the unexpected 2nd place as there were some really good shots to choose from. An interesting subject well judged and commented.

A bunch belonging to the Beatle Mania brigade, we all are . Congratulations CIBarker- well thought out composition, and execution just great. Congrats too Tyronet2000 and Aliengrove. Tough one to judge and thanks is due to Michael for judging and commenting on all the entries. Good comp and fun indeed, which besides giving a visual feast for the eyes, also jogged the memory banks.

She wouldn't chase either... too much effort!

I like this way of doing the comments...
I was able to have this page and the pix open at the same time and alt-tab between the two pages as I read down the list.
