Absolutely brilliant pic Lily, and very well judged again, some cracking shots posted in this comp, chuffed to bits that I got a place at the table
I know my image threw up a bit of a discussion, who's right? Who’s wrong? Nobody, it's an individual thing in my eyes.
Here’s the two originals that I used in the composition, at the time I created it a while back it was just an exercise on how to use Photoshop.

Taken on the shore between Buckhaven and East Wemyss

Taken out the back, complete with dust spots and telephone wires

No doubt about the winner this week - just superb image by Lilly - yet again
Very good judging John. I know my shot is a bit busy - and it wasn't really a part of this weeks competition - probably the best competition so far - truly superb quality all around!

Now that you disassembled the image I can see better your composition. Here’s the two originals that I used in the composition, at the time I created it a while back it was just an exercise on how to use Photoshop.
I can distinguish in the final merged image a double sun illumination. One from the background, where the sunbeam illuminates the sky and the clouds, and the second sun illumination that illuminates the tree from an estimated position (by the shadows) a little bit back and left of the photographer shoulder.
Or I´m wrong?
Best regards.

Well done to all, an amazing competition.
John has carried out the difficult task of judging and critique giving superb and decisive advice. Well done John.
Congratulations to Lilly for an outstanding image, a well deserved 1st.
I’d like to thank you all for these weekly competitions. They have given me a reason to go out with my camera (not that I really need one) .
They are changing the way I am viewing the everyday things around me.
These competitions are a superb learning resource on the way to compose and critique images.
Many thanks and I am looking forward to the next challenge.

Congratulations to Lilly on the win and thanks to John for the huge task of judging this weeks competition, not an easy task judging by the number of entries.

I also reckon Lilly's picture is superb.
Not only is it very good technically, but, like all good art, the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.
The tree seems more animal than vegetable. It has a sinister, malevolent, air. I wouldn't like to go near it at night.
It reminds me very much of an Arthur Rackham illustration.

Well done again Lily.
I mentioned in my entry that the picture looks better in colour so here's the proof:
