Are we supposed to be sticking strictly to 'steam' as in what comes out of my kettle or the steam that can be seen in davidtrout's steam engine photos


I think we need to hope that TimE is interperting his theme widely as STEAM is invisible and what we see and call steam is infact water vapour (same as clouds).
When your kettle boils look at the spout and there is often a small gap between it and the cloud - that gap is the STEAM before it begins to condenses into small droplets forming a cloud of water vapour.
Also what we see coming out off the top of a steam engine is both smoke from the fire and water vapour.
Hopefully the theme will cover steam technology (eg steam engines) and clouds of water vapour produced by steam...
