I'm opening the discussion thread for this week's competition. Hopefully the theme will be broad enough to encourage lots of entries.

There's no particular season implied by dark woods, or even that woods/forests need be the subject matter, but it depends on where your imagination can go and how you make the image reflect the theme as stated.
