Agree with everything John said ..... except the bit about hiring another K7 being ideal. I had a K7 before buying the K5 and when switching to the K5 it was almost as if I was still using the K7 in terms of functionality, totally intuitive. The menu is a little different but you can learn that in an hour or less. Good grief - I certainly got better pics than those at my daughter's wedding in Feb , and I used the Tamron 18-250 for the whole thing .

With possibly 2 exceptions (where cropping could give a passable image) I'd expect any of my kids (all three aged under 11) to do better, even just using a phone!

I think I'd lie and tell the unfortunate couple that all of my gear and therefore photographs had been stolen rather than ruin a professional status by providing such shoddy results. Then give them their money back (even if it came out of my bank acount).

I rather like the one with the hand and the motorbike, but I concede that isn't what the unhappy couple were expecting.
For my wedding I set my camera up on a tripod with a fill in flash (the wedding was outdoors in bright light) and asked the guest (yes, I did say the guest) to fire the remote control whenever the flash ready light came on. OK, quite a few duds but enough good ones to keep us happy. At least with only five of us (bride, groom, best woman, maid of honour and the guest) arranging the group photos was pretty easy.
