Due to the demise of my K20D I took my Pentax LX out early Wednesday morning and shot off a roll of Kodak Ektar 100. I rather liked this one shot with my M100/2.8 lens.

Lots of film bodies, a couple of digital ones, too many lenses (mainly older glass) and a Horseman LE 5x4.

That's a very nice image, sharp where it needs to be and some lvoely areas of smooth bokeh. Lovely.

Now that photo is a perfect example of two specialists co-operating, namely the spider and Kris. I like.

Lovely light and sharpness, Kris.

I sympathise with your K20's failure, I'm going through a run at the moment:

upstairs cistern leaking
rear n/s brake caliper seized on car
iron blew up
ancient TV on the blink
"new" Tamron 70-300 died with sad whimper

Total cost? c. £1000, I should think!
Best wishes,

Andrew

That's an amazing picture, I can't remember ever seeing a spider's web, either for real or in a picture, with such a sturdy construction. You must have been really close to get it looking as if it were knitted. The colour of the foliage is also impressive.

I like the shot but I also sympathise with Chris and Andrew.

I can't help on the K20, the iron, tv or the Tamron but Andrew I do have experience with siezed calipers and leaking cisterns and if I can help (advice only due to the distance) give me a shout as I will help if I can if I am needed

I was at the minimum focus range of the M100/2.8 which is one meter. I was slowly rocking back and forth trying to make sure the central circle of the web was sharp.

Thanks all for the nice comments. I'll admit to being rather pleased with it!

An excellent example of real raw at its best. Very good composition and detail.

Best regards
