You mean this one:

The seller also has an A* 200/f2.8 going.
What was that rule about never selling a Star lens??

I hadn't noticed that A* 200mm f/2.8 before you mentioned it... that's incredibly tempting but could I afford it right now? Hmmmm, probably not as I need an FA 24-90mm.
I sold a beautiful A50 1.2 a year back and it reached the princely sum of £160 odd (no box though), the times they are a changing.

the more people who buy Petax DSLR's, the more people will get interested in the older lenses. Prices will go up more I'm affraid. Simply a demand and supply question.

Well, it didn't reach £300.00, a sign perhaps that the price had long gone above a figure that any experienced buyer would have contemplated.
Makes me wonder whether I should offer my K version on Ebay and book a trip to Paris in expectation.
As for the 200mm, I was lucky enough to do a deal on an FA* version recently. It'll be interesting to see how the prices of the two compare. For me, the longer the focal length, the more useful AF becomes, not least because the shallow DOF provides no room for error.
But don't let me put anybody off. The A* is a magnificent lens (and I won't be competing for it!).
I predict a final price of £500.
