Has anyone got a PENTAX 1.4X-S REAR CONVERTER-A that they no longer require.
Willing to pay good price.

I don't know if you rally prefer a UK sale?
There's one from Canada for sale on the us forum for $175.
With dollar rates as they are, maybe a decent deal?

I got a PKA Tokina 2X converter in mint condition. i can not comment on the difference between these two,because never had a pentax one. PM me with your offer if it interests you.

Sorry, but I already have the Pentax 1.7x converter, I can only use this in good light and a 2X would be worse.

How much difference will going to a 1.4x actually make? Will the small difference actually be useful?

It will make my DA*300mm a 420mm F5.6, and the extra reach is always useful for wildlife photography.

But the 1.7 will give you 510mm - albeit with slightly less light by 1/2 stop. That is what I was asking ...

1/2 stop can make all the difference

I've acquired one from a Pentaxforums member in Canada.
Fingers crossed I put some test shots on soon.
