Thanks for the info. I'd rather swap but if it's cheap enough I might buy one, cheers.

I'd buy the MZ-S outright if I were you...
Pure folly to let go of the flashgun and the 24-90 to get one of those....
I paid 440 for mine (included grip) from Mifsuds. The FA 28 is worth about 100 give or take 50 quid (I paid 65 from Cambrian)....
The kit you are wanting is highly prized, so expect some hard bargaining...

I've had the chance to buy an MZS a few times but each time I tried it I wasn't convinced that it was up to much compared to the Z1 / Z1P and each time I didn't buy it. I just want something a bit smaller than the Z1P for going on holiday with. I'd be just as happy with an MZ-3 or MZ-5 probably. I might see if anyone has one of those for sale. I would have an MZ-S if it was £100 but probably wouldn't pay more than that but I might swap as I wouldn't have to lay out any cash.

John, I have an MZ-5n here not doing much. Good condition apart from the flash doesn't raise - the spring's gone in it, a common fault I gather. I never used the flash so it didn't bother me, but if it's something you need then that would obviously be a problem.

Would be looking for about £45 o.n.o., and I'm local to you so could drop it off when I'm next your way. New CR2 batteries included, and there's even a roll of Velvia in it (although I can vouch for how that would be now... ).
Let me know if you're interested.
Dan

Hi Dan thanks for the reply, I used to have an MZ5 before ( not the N model ) and I liked it's size etc. It was my main film camera until I dropped it with an F 50mm F1.7 lens on the front onto concrete while it was out of its case. Lena and camera kaput, you should have seen the state of the lens. Does it have any of the following case, strap and eyecup ? I really liked the case that came with it ( well cost about £50 as far as I can remember). I am interested depending on whether you have any of those other bits as well and can haggle a bit on price or part exchange, I have lots of other bits too, cheers John McD.

Well I've an eyecup and a strap, not necessarily the ones that came with it (I got it secondhand about 4 years ago), but they would be Pentax ones. I much prefer this sort of eyecup, so that's why there's not one shown on the pics - I obviously took the other one off and put it somewhere safe. I've got one off my K10D that's mint.
Likewise the strap would be from either the *istD or the K10D (don't like/use them either).
I don't have a case, but I don't suppose this was standard issue, was it?
If you're intersted, send me a PM with an offer and we can start the haggling.
Cheers,
Dan

Ah, just posted there, and as you'll see, I've already got 3 sets (including the same as yours).
So no, sorry.
