No idea if they are the same but the Q one is just like a regular Pentax DSLR one only narrower

I've had a look and they both are the same width, or so close it makes no difference. The Q strap will be fine, albeit with the PENTAX name in the wrong colour! Q is red name, MX-1 is grey name.

I'm now looking for an MX-1 strap
The thing that I find strange, the strap (O-ST130) is listed in the manual as an accessory, but when I search the Ricoh site it's not recognized. Hey ho

I've tried the Q strap and I find the strap ends are too wide for the MX-1 lugs. Having burnt/melted my MX-1 strap on a candle, I'm looking for another one - or info as to where I can get one from?
