Looking for one of the cheap versions (the Chinese ones) of Pentax Adapter K for k100d, with ability to focus on infinity.

Thanks

@Pietrach,

The Chinese ones (with key) are no good at all.. removal can be tricky as the key usually bends on the 10th removal attempt.. leaving you with a body with a stuck M42 adapter ...unless you unscrew the spring clip and fix the adapter to a single lens.

My advice is to get an original one. The trouble (involving pliers) is not worth the 10 quid less.

Kind regards,

Alex

Thanks. My intention is to keep it fixed to one m42 lens. I will give myself a bit more time and get back to 'sms' if few days.
Thanks

aye, heard reports of people using cheapo chinese versions and the springs pinging off inside the body....not so sure i'd risk that for the sake of £20

I have both versions and my copy (sans spring) works better on my S-M-C 50mm than the genuine article, which works better on my Helios 44s.

removed springs on my cheapos the day I got them. Never had any problems with adaptor sticking to this day. Although I do keep each one of them fixed to lenses
