Wanted: 52mm Circular Polarizing Filter

I agree I wasted my money on a cheap CPL and I wouldn't spend £80 as the facility isn't worth that to me which leaves me in a conundrum. I thought the Pentax metering or AF was unaffected by linear polarisers in contrast to other brands? So that might be a cheaper way to get the same result?

Thanks

OK - I don't use it any more so you can have it. I have a 52mm Cokin P adapter, Cokin P holder and Cokin P 164 circ polarizing filter. Will that do? I'll even throw in a couple of P 152 ND filters - but unfortunately can't find the P ND Grad filter I started with (if it turns up I'll thrown that in too).

edit - found - you win P 121 ND grad too

Quality should be OK - I see the circ. pol. are 60 quid new. Well, it is OK - I've used it .

Shout if you want it. Wife will be happy for me to reduce the quantity of unused photo equipment I have - even if only by a gnats scrotum.

Chris: How much would you like for the adapter, holder and polarizing filter? Or the whole lot?

Nothing - I don't use it. If you want to pay, I can accept whatever the postage is.

One question though (but I will still take it): my understanding is tak circular polarizer requires spinning to get different effects. How would that work if I wan to use the ND grad filters at the same time?

The Cokin system has slots for the filters to slot into - two at any one time - the NDs are square and slot in either the front or back position. The Circ Pol is circular so it can spin, but only goes in the furthest back position (nearest the lens) specially for circular filters so it can sit between two little ledges/jutting out bits so it doesn't fall all the way through. Once the polarizer is in the holder it can spin - in the holder but is fairly stiff. The ND Grad won't spin in the holder.

edit: PS sent you a PM asking for postal address

The postage is probably not half that - I'll PM you when I post it and if you are still keen on paying, wait until you get everything in one piece (after all I'm sending glass) before sending. Honestly it's not worth anything to me as I don't/can't use it as all my lenses (that take filters sensibly) are 82mm filters or bigger - I have a Cokin Z system for them.

Brilliant. I will let you know if it arrived in one piece. Even if not I will return for the postage. Thanks
