Well it's taken me quite a lot of attempts...but I've finally had one of my aviation photos printed in a magazine
The photo of Vulcan XH558 & a pair of F15s was taken as they flew over RAF Lakenheath in August and is in the current issue of "The Vulcan", the Vulcan to the Sky Club magazine.
I used a K-3ll & Tamron 70-200mm f2.8 with the 1.4x HD converter.

Congratulations Rob. Talk about leaving it to the last minute though!

Incidentally, how do you find the Tamron 70-200 f2.8 / Pentax 1.4HD combo for planes? Have you tried it on MF? Would be interested as its a potentially very useful range and seems to offer a lot of flexibility.

regards

Karlo

Well done with your publication, very worthy examples for the magazine. Your perseverance and practice has clearly paid off.

I used that combination extensively during this season and it was very useful, found the lens worked very well with the K-3ll but didn't use it on MF though.

Cheers for that Rob...for about 725 - 750 (depending on how much they want for the 1.4HD at any given moment..it's very good value.
