No idea, but the message has not been read, so little chance of it being acted upon until it has!
Best regards, John

Stefan is active on the Dutch Pentax forum. I have no idea why he has dropped out here. I too sent him a PM which is also unread. I'm not a member of the Dutch forum so I can't contact him there.
Lidy is a member there too I believe.

You're right, Gwyn, I am. I've sent Stefan a PM there. If/when I hear from him, I'll let you know.

Stefan has replied to my PM and I'm afraid he's not going to come back. When I asked him what to tell you he said:

Quote:
For public reasons I am no longer active on the forum and i've closed all connection accept my account with the hope for a better future.
I've also asked him about the competition, but he said he wouldn't come back for that either. He has deleted the Photobucket accounts he'd set up for the competition and in doing so also the pictures (so nobody needs to worry about copyrights, he added).

I'm really sorry about it all, especially for the people who had submitted pictures, but he sounds pretty determined. He also seemed to think that most of you would understand why he's left.

Many thanks Lidy for finding out something at least. It's a shame indeed that Stefan doesn't seem to want to stay with us, but if he ever changes his mind he is most welcome to return and no comment or embarrassment need by feared.

I too am disappointed though for those who put effort into the competition. It may be better to stick with competitions that are in plain sight of everyone.
Best regards, John

What a shame, I'll miss his contributions. He was treated a bit roughly sometimes on here IMHO, with his youth, dyslexia, and non-UK nationality taken into account I sometimes wished he could have been given a little more slack, PITA though he sometimes admittedly was! But aren't we all from time to time?

But perhaps he just left because he realised he was a bit too addicted to the site?

Contributions? What contributions? He virtually never posted any photos or commented on any photos, he just liked to talk about technology!

I'm just teasing, of course. Although I probably shouldn't since he won't be here to defend himself Even though we clashed on dozens of occasions, almost all to do with his hatred of Apple products, I'm sorry to hear he feels he has to leave.

I do kind of wonder what set him off though. I haven't been rude to him in a PM, in case you're all wondering! (Not recently, anyway :twisted
