No 6 for me. What a marvellous setup. The girl on your left finishes it off perfectly with her pose intentional or not

Thanks a zillion guys and gals - one of my favourite photos of Joclick ( Jo )my lovely lady - I took one slightly similar about 12 years ago with the MZ5n and had it turned into a pseudo oil on canvas - hangs in my office upstairs.

I did vote for the winner - brilliant evocative shot - well done Dr O - and I was nearly going to go for JudithAnn`s Dawn...............

Regards

Tony

Well done everyone. It was a challenging subject and some great entries. I was torn between the lovely Joclick (as I now know her to be:wink and Dr O's beautiful study. His won and got my vote.

Interesting to see if this comp keeps going

Thanks. I think this competition is fun, it would be nice if it were better supported - I wonder why those who frequently enter the weekly eschew this? I don't really care about the votes but I do enjoy guessing the author. I got JudithAnn and Aliengrove this time.

My feeling, as posted on another thread, is that the relative complexity of posting an image anywhere other than the weekly comp, mitigates against the 'spur of the moment' entries.
OK, I know that in practice it does not take much longer to post via photobucket or whatever, but it is still an additional complication, particularly if ones available time is limited.

Alun, you haven't read the entry instructions! Or you have decided they say something they don't.

"You send your photo to him/them, either by e-mail to [email protected]">[email protected],
or a link to it via PM."

Entry to this comp is no harder , no more work than the weekly.

Email the entry, that's it!

or easier, email/PM the link if its already hosted in photobucket or flickr.

I have uploaded every entry received to the host, I've resized ones that were full sized to the right dimensions. if hosted, I've downloaded them and processed them.

If you can resize all the better.

If you have a suitable image then the time involved to enter is minimal.
Like the fortnightly there is enough time to create an image if you have the motivation.

It's 2010 and this is a photography forum. Its taken me 3 conservative minutes to open picasa, select an image, export it resized to 800 pixels, open email, address email, attach file, and send it. If you haven't got 3 to 5 minutes to do this, you haven't got time to moan about the complexity and you certainly won't have time to learn how to do it if you haven't already got the skills. There are faster ways, gmail from inside Picasa.

If anybody wants (just one) I can knock up a PDF tutorial with screenshots?
Lurking is shirking.!
