Does it work or not, your thoughts please.

It's a tritone with the colours; sepiaish, blueish and black.

ps. This my second "landscape" photo I'm displaying to anyone, it's really not my cup of cake so any advice on that is HIGHLY appreciated, thank you.

Stefan,

Not that I'm any expert either, but as a personal opinion - it works. The tones you've selected do justice to the sea, sky and land IMO, so you're doing something right. It's got a dramatic sky, stark contrasts, and windmills that draw your eye through the frame, so while it might not be your 'cup of cake' , it's a good one.

Great sky, and interest on the horizon. I'd crop away at least half of the foreground in front of the inlet.

You have a great looking sky in this. I agree with pentax', and it would also promote that interest on the horizon too.

Great conversion in my opinion, the sky is great.
I also agree with pentax' & pauly' regarding the grop/removal of some of the foreground.

I'm in agreement with others Stefan, the forground has no interest but the sky is gorgeous, especially the way the clouds at the sides lead in and down to the clouds below, the only thing I dont like is that blobby cloud right in the middle, it catches the eye and looks more like a watermark on a badly processed negative

Thank you Alan.

How much do you think I should crop then, the horizon is already pretty close to 1/3th. Please feel free to crop away on the photo.

Alan about the badly processed negative, I did some major cloning around that part because my sensor almost looked like a Dalmatier
Also cloned out a windmill on the far left side and added a cloud there

I would have cropped right up to the bottom of the headland and kept it as a skyscape.

Nice shot Stefan. Love the sky and the turbines, but agree with everyone about the crop. I would take away the entire curving foreground and just leave the bit of land with turbines on it.

I like the tones in the sky and land, but I'm not sure the colour of the sea fits nicely with them.
