Have been thinking about a ring flash for my K10D and a few minutes ago did an Ebay search and THIS came up first in the search with 2 minutes to spare.
I stuck a bid on it and just got it (with 1p to spare).

I know I am stuck with it now but its a lot cheaper than the new Sigma or Pentax offerings coming out (not worried about using it in manual).. just wondering if its any good and will the voltage be ok or have I made a mistake :

Thanks.

From what I have read about it, its TTL dedicated with no manual control, so all the control will have to be done by the camera as it will fully discharge each time.

Let us know how you go with it.

Hmmm, so I control the output of the flash with the shutter speed and aperture ?

Yikes.

Just the aperture, as the shutter speed isn't going to make a difference to the flash exposure (unless you've got it slow enough to allow ambient light to effect it).

Shouldn't be too hard, I use manual exposure on my Centon flashgun, for macro I find I rarely have to change the aperture.
