Vintage motorsport: Mallory Park, August 22

A slightly bizarre turn of events, yesterday. For one, there were at least four accredited Pentax photographers at Mallory (possibly a new world and Olympic record), For another, I spent part of the morning in the medical centre after stumbling while crossing the track. As I was desperately trying to prevent my cameras hitting the asphalt, my knees bore the brunt and were quite badly cut. The medics thought I'd need stitches, but eventually set me free after swathing me with iodine and bandages. It did mean not being able to cover as much of the circuit as I would have liked, but here are a few snapshots...

Great set as ever, sorry to hear about your knees but at least you saved your gear.
That no 81 is a mad looking thing.
I know what i like, If not always why.

Great shots Simon, is that a nitro bottle on the seat in 2?
Hope your knees recover soon.
C&C welcome.

#81 - !!!!!!!, you'd need some might big cojones to drive that - no front brakes, no grip to speak of, and instead of a bucket seat, you've got what I can only describe as a 'coal scuttle' seat.
