Just watch it myself and I must say it looks really good and it seems to autofocus to me.
I only found the oragne cutting movie a bit blurry but the rest was great and the sound, sounded good.

It does look good, but it is with a pre-production model, which had AF in video, I believe. I always enjoy Ned Bunnels blog.

You're right Gwyn, don't know why they took it out since it seems to work decnt enough to me. Not superfast but still it's better then nothing.

btw I liked how steady the shot was with the baseball game, the SR seems to work. Good you had some movement but it looked smooth and not jaggy surely if you consider it was with a 200mm lens so not something you can call short.

Another interesting snippet is that he used iMovie 09 for his editing and production. Some people I know will not be familiar with this as it is a Mac application that comes free with every Mac, but the good news is that it is a 'basic' piece of software that seems to handle it just fine. Hopefully this means if video software doesn't come in the box, it will be cheap enough to reap the benefits from it!

Stefan, I have made a couple of Gifs using the k20d. They are pretty good. I haven't tried converting them to wmv though.
I'm not going to show them here as they were just messing about ones to see if they worked. Fills up a card pretty quick though.

Totally OT... but followed to the blog of the K20D videos, and found this PiKAPiKA THE MOVIE = insane
(I did take a few seconds of 21fps JPG on the K20D with my son on the trampoline... but haven't had time to movie-fy it)

Back OT... the video on the K7 looks very impressive from those preproduction versions!

looking good.

This feature, while it doesn't seem likely to be the reason I WANT to buy a K-7, may well be the reason I am ALLOWED to buy a K-7/8/9 in a few years time when babys start comming along.....
you don't have to be mad to post here

but it does help

Get on with the babies then you could have the K-7 earlier

But then he won't be able to afford a K-7. Mongoose, you need to buy one now, in readiness...

Dan
K-3, a macro lens and a DA*300mm...

Is this forum now also going to support videos now sionce pentax users will be able to shoot videos?

Gwyn I didn't knew you could save files in gif with the K20D, i thought you needed to put the photos behind each other and used the correct frame rate. Gif is better.

Matt that looks very cool, pretty insane though to draw with light like that.
