I posted the following in 2008, just after the announcement of the decision about ceasing the publishing of PU Magazine:

"Since the magazine is to cease, I wonder if it would be asking too much to enable members to upload versions, as is done in ePhotozine? Then, it would be easier to upload a new version, either the corrected one as advised by co-members or modifed ones of the same photo. I hate to delete my photos together with the advice or the comments.
I just want to ask this favour from the admins and wonder how many members are there to join me in this."

No one responded or backed me then, except John Riley. he said, "Fair point, I'll mention it." I think the need is still relevant and I just wanted to bring it up to your attention again.

Nezih

I know that IT have a "To Do" list and I guess it's quite a long one. priorities will depend upon how easy it is to implement and how much demand has been shown. Some things are done very quickly when it's straightforward and obviously a benefit.

I think there are things that could be done in the Gallery and it's been mentioned a few times, but I will certainly mention it again.
Best regards, John

It's good to know that it's mentioned. My purpose was and is now to try to increase the demand, if possible. Thank you again for the immediate response and being positive about it. I still want to stay hopeful.()

I still think a method of turning a member's gallery into a slide-show would be useful. This would avoid having to open each shot individually. But, of course, this may not be possible.
Best wishes,

Andrew

I like this idea.

Is it that you want to have the images in your gallery, as alot of people put variation into a thread in "Your Photos"

What I want is to be able to add a variation of the same photo at the same time with the original. For instance, I would like to upload the original with its conversion, or I might want to make a different compo of the same and ask opinion of the members. That's all.

Nezih, why not start a thread in 'Your Photos' if you want to do that? You can post as many pictures in one thread as you like.

You will have to upload to flickr or photobucket etc first, then link to the pictures in the thread.

I sometimes do that. What I want is the kind of utility offered by ePhotozine, that's all.

For some reason, unknown to me, I can not get on to ePhotozine. So would someone looking at your gallery entry be able to see both images at the same time, or do you just want them to be consecutive entries?
