High res and vecoters, since when does vectors have resolution?
I don't know what you're preciesly looking for but google might help and maybe Deviantart have some vector art. Just contact the artist and ask permission if it doesn't say in the description you can use the art.
This the sector for stock but you can also try the art section of course.

Didn't Corel do a lot of CD's with Royalty Free Vector Graphics.

cds/dvds of clipart are cheap to buy but since the op doesn't mention what type of graphics it's hard to recommend any.

I was searching around and found some free samples of vector STYLED art peices that were listed as free but the files themselves were lower res jpegs and pdf files that do not scale up to large sizes I might want...

corel's website is a nightmare to navigate... I couldn't find any click to buy items....

Ah in that way.
On DA you can often download the EPS file which is a vector file so there are no pixels in it and therefore no resolution, you can scale them all you want without any lost.

On Amazon you can buy a set of clipart discs with half a million images for six pounds, including vector drawings and I'm sure your local pcworld/computer shop will have similar discs if you want to check what's on them.
