Variations in Green

This may be slightly over the top, but I thought it could be interesting to show a series of Northern Lights images from Christmas Eve. These were shot with the K5 + DA 12-24 with 15 seconds exposures and interval shooting at 20 seconds intervals. These 15 images are a series of what went on during five minutes of the Northern Lights display two nights ago:

If one scrolls down very quickly when viewing these (maybe in connection with a good glass of wine) this will almost become a timelapse...

Great series. I think I need that wine for the full timelapse effect though .

Have you tried making a timelapse of the lights ever?

I made a timelapse last year, also shot from our house, so the very same housing estate foreground:

Very nice!

I showed it to His Nibs. He said I should move north, but the problem with that is I hate snow

A glorious sight, Bjørn, and very well photographed.

Like Gwyn, I feel that the south of England is quite far enough north, thank you very, much. Summer or winter...
Best wishes,

Andrew
