I like them all. I can't really pick a favourite, they all work for my eye, all three quite beautiful. The different treatments do emphasise different aspects of the structures but all good.

1 & 2 work best for me Roger - 1 coaxing some softness out of the apparent chaos, 2 highlighting the grittiness. The colour in 3 doesn't bring anything particular to the party (in my opinion, and for my taste). These crystal series are really great.

The same area of glass slide under different lights, all cross-polarised.
A) Diffused window light.
Minimum adjustment
B) Diffused flash.
Mono Conversion
C) Diffused LED torch
Minimum adjustment
Each a stack of seven, Combine ZP
All adjusted in Elements 11.
I'd be interested to hear any thoughts on preference you may have....
