Vapour Trail Analogy

I picked this up jus' this afternoon. Its been a beautiful day today, and i've been waitin' for a day like today to photograph this warehouse. I managed to catch this vapour trail in the shot also, I think the gods were smilin' on me.

Super image, I like the lines and the different shades of blue. And the"portrait" framing works very well in my view.

I might be tempted to crop a bit off the left so the main building is seamless, and possibly lose some or all of the bottom (the ground), but maybe it needs that left in to give it scale.

Yeah, I agree with you. I've been workin' on the image like you mentioned.

I love the title, it could fit a J G Ballard short story, and I love the clean lines of the image.

I too would remove most of the ground, but I'm less sure of the crop on the left. I like it as it is, it forms a stop to the eye wandering off out of the frame.

I like it, but not too keen on the yellow doors. Because of the vapor trail, it actually looks better as an almost square picture (same width) cropped at the bottom leaving just one sticky out pipe showing. It's more abstract then and not really a picture of the building, but I think it looks better.

The original has disappeared but my comment on this one would be (purely as an architectural photograph) to remove the vapour trail

Like the image.Can not see the first shot.

Strange I can see the first which I prefer over the last one. I don't like the end of the building not showing...... what is it Architects call it "purity of form"?

Yeah, sorry about the original image. I should have posted it up straight from my hostin' site, instead of Flickr.
The photo got replaced on Flickr by the one you see here, thats why.

I really like the vapour trail in this shot. I think it is such a great analogy and lifts the shot.

I agree, it more of an architechtural shot and the vapour trail only serves to detract, though I missed the original so cant make a comparison, it was a good idea but I dont think its worked, but unless you try you'll never know.
For me the image would have been in that yellow door and the cladding, if its local I suggest you go back and give it a try.

This is of course meant as both constructive and instructive critisism in the nicest possible way with the best of intentions and is in no way meant to belittle your posted image
