Roscopecotrain was the easiest way to get as username everywhere as most people dont spell it that way.
Also this is how my mate spelt it on my name plate for the lorry so its kinda stuck.
Thanks for the welcome chris.

You mention you've got a Polariser - these are very useful when shooting outdoors in bright sunshine, although more fidderly to use and take a bit of practice, but well worth while. I hope its the "Circular" not "Linear" type, otherwise they can be a pain if your front element rotates when focusing (I think your kit lens does), however you probably have a CPL (circular polariser)!
As no one else has picked up on this, I thought I'd better point out that a rotating front element will affect a polariser whether it's a circular or linear one. You will still need to re-adjust the polariser once the lens has focused. You mention you've got a Polariser - these are very useful when shooting outdoors in bright sunshine, although more fidderly to use and take a bit of practice, but well worth while. The difference between the two is purely down to what happens to the light as it's passing out the back of the filter, remaining polarised by a linear one (which can affect lightmeter and autofocus operations in some modern cameras), but being de-polarised again by a circular one, allowing AF etc to work as expected.
Oh, and they can be very effective on overcast or even rainy days too.

We did some test with a linear polariser so far as we know it only effects the exposure metering.
With Pentax the AF seems to be unaffected.
