I've only ever used Kingston Data Travelers and find they are very reliable and fast. I still use my 1Gb one that I've had for the past 4 years and it's working find even though it's been bashed about. At the time it cost around £100 for a 1Gb - thankfully it wasn't my money!
I would have thought that they are all pretty quick as they are solid state memory with the USB being the bottleneck.

You also have flash drive with eSATA connection, they will go up to write 30 MB/s - read 90 MB/s
OCZ Throttle is the name of those flash drives.
For USB the SanDisk Cruzer Contour is pretty fast (write 18 MB/s - read 25 MB/s) or Corsair Flash Survivor (write 20 MB/s - read 22,5 MB/s)
Another solution might be something like a western digital passport.
It's a small hard drive which has a USB connection and that's all it needs for his power and they are also small and go up to 1 TB now

I use this as after a day's results I copy the images onto the flash drive for convenience then sort out the good from the bad and then back them up on the external hard drive.
Any suggestions would be welcome.
