I had some issues uploading for the first time but once I'd cracked it, I'd cracked it... Whereabouts do you have the photos you want to upload stored - I use Flickr and can provide instructions on how to upload from Flickr if that would help????

If you use photobucket it's quite simply, they provide the link you need with the codes so all you need to do is copy and paste.

Hi Mat
I have posted mine on flicker and struggled badly, even with the help of my Son who is very good at this type of thing. Any help you can give would be much appreciated.
regards
Paul

No worries, for each picture you wish to post you need a link which is on the flickr site. From your photostream, click on whatever picture you want to post and it'll appear on it's own page and one of the options above it will say "all sizes". Click on that and the picture will appear as 'large', but you can then select thunbnail, small, medium, or original (really big). if you click on the option you want (I use medium for portrait shots or large for landscape format), the image will appear at that size and there will be two addresses below it. You need to copy the second one, which will look something like:
http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2712/4432672974_15548d0.jpg
(dummy link)
Then come to the forum, and where you want to post the picture, click on the 'image' button below the text box and you will get a symbol which looks something like this:
[img][img]
(it will have a backslash as well within the second square brackets)
Now paste the 'http://...' address between the first [img] and the second one with the backslash in it (no spaces) and then when you hit the 'preview comment' button below, you should see your shot, and of course when you hit 'add comment' at the end of your post the whole thing appears in the forum...

Look at the Your Photos section and one of the first two posts describes how to upload images into the forum.
Photobucket seems to be less troublesome than Flikr.

Sadly no, not in the forum. You can, however, upload directly into the Gallery if that helps?

But Paul photobucket is very simple.
Upload the photo, copy the IMG link and paste it in your comment, that's it.

Agreed. I did a "how to post pictures" on another forum and opened a Flikr account specifically.Look at the Your Photos section and one of the first two posts describes how to upload images into the forum.

Talk about jumping through hoops.

I was a bit intimidated by the process at first, but, as Anvh says, if you upload an image to Photobucket (this is free) and then click on to the image in Photobucket, you will see a link in the IMG window which you simply copy and paste in to the Forum section that you wish to post on.
Simples!

Not sure what happened with flicker but we, (Son and myself), could not make it work. Son is very competent, (unlike me lol), but didnt happaen. However, patience is as they say a virtue, and I will get there!

Uploading pics to the forum for comment as to how the site, (more importantly the members), has been of assistance.
After the first attempt this does seem to be a very difficult process!!!!
Very unclear as to how to proceed!
Im sure that once you have mastered the process it will be simple, but not evident after a full hours attempt.
Surely there must be a simpler way?
