I traded up a few months back from K-x to K5... No regrets...
But at £525 (and assumming you have the extra 100 quid) I'd go for the MkII in a heartbeat...

Dave, what features of the K5 mean that you have no regrets and why would you go for the K5II? What about the IIs?

sounds like the K30 would do the trick, viewfinder, bigger screen, possibility to correct FF/BF.
I just upgraded mine, sadly find the K30 a bit too big...

The K30 is one of the most compact DSLR's around - yes it's a tad bigger than a K-x, but you won't find anything much smaller.
I upgraded from K-x to K-5 and now use both regularly. I've said on here many times before that the K-x is a fantastic camera, although clearly not as good as a K-5. IQ is not far behind the K-5, but for build quality and ergonomics the K-5 is in a different league altoghether.
In terms of whether the K-5ii is worth paying an extra £100 for, it probably depends on how much low light shooting you do. By all accounts it's a demon at focussing in low light. If this is not a requirement, the K-5 mk1 is probably a better buy.

So I think I'm going to get either a k-5 or a k-5ii, I was wondering if the
k-5ii is any better really. With a current deal at SRS I can get £225 trade in for my k-x against the k-5ii making it £525. I can get a k-5 after trade in for £425. Is the K-5ii worth my extra £100? What do you guy think?
