I've bought the LX, the motor drive, the AF280T, the flash bracket, a variety of lenses, a range of filters, a decent tripod and a big bag to keep it all in. I did "O" level photography at school and I've kept up to date with techniques from magazines through the years. I consider myself a bit of a photographer and pride myself in coming up with decent photos.
Having done so much self-publicity to family and friends, hyping-up the value and abilities of both myself and my equipment, why do I feel that every roll of film I get developed is like some kind of personal test? When I get it spot on, everyone says "ooh" and "aah" in an appreciative manner, but when I get it wrong (and I still occasionally take unintentional shots of my feet), everyone makes that unimpressed "mmmm" noise.
Does anyone else feel under similar pressure to perform?
If only they made Viagra for cameras...
You're only supposed to blow the bloody doors off
