I have to agree, wide open it's dreamy!
It was a lens I had'nt looked into that much...that position has now changed!

I've seen gausian blur produce a harsher OOF region than that. That lens is incredible. I want one!!!!

Looking at Bojidar's website the only difference between the K and A versions appears to be in weight (and the A setting of course). The optical formula is the same. Anyone know if they are essentially the same lens?

I bought it mainly with a view to selling it for a profit but I am going to try it out for a bit first. It is a heavy bit of glass, and the rear element is huge!
The MG is in good nick and has cleaned up nicely. The seals need changing but that is all and the case is in excellent condition.

Up to your usual high standard Lance, though I must be missing Something.
Maybe I'm an artistic heathen
But the first two shots are soft and have no detail.
The 3rd shot is I grant you looking good.
I would not buy that lens for f1.2 use.

Andrew That's just the point of such f/1.2, you need to play with the out of focus blur to create an image so they become very dreamy. Sharpness or details hardly play a point.
#3 is quite a normal shot and would hardly raise any attention.
You probably can also not appreciate this men's art link

If you want a sharp lens, dont buy the 50mm 1.2. There are plenty of sharper lenses around much cheaper.
However if you want to "paint" with your photography, there are none that can match it. Worth every penny.
