Two friends of mine that use Canon 550D's have used my K7 and D700 and have said they like the feel/handling of the K7. They are both professionals. They still use the 550D's as of the late May Bank Holiday, they said they have too much Canon glass to jump ship?Doesn't go into exhaustive detail, but for once the reviewer actually seems to understand the market that the K-7 is aimed at (and comments that it feels like it has been built for a very different market segment). Each to their own.

Its funny, but the latest Digital Camera magazine did the opposite. They did not understand the market that the K-7 is aimed at. They liked the build, but they said it was too complex and the results were not as good as the "rivals". (i think they did the tests in auto only :wink
The cameras they did the group test were:-
Canon 50D
Canon 550D
Nikon D90
Olympus E-30
Sony A-500
They even put the 550D ahead of the 50D.
They winner in their eyes was the D90 (surprise surprise)
hey ho each to their own.....

I went sea kayaking last Saturday but left the K-7 in the car boot.
I did climb on a wall while taking pictures a week last Monday, that kind of thing, or more like hills and stuff. Or hostels and cities?
Lurking is shirking.!

I've stopped buying the photo mags, I just get the BJP monthly and buy books. I think I;m in the wrong market segment for the mags.

Sound! The other mags are rubbish and don't show/tell anything one cannot find for free online.

We're all given to spotting where reviews say things we don't like, so here's one that we might give a cautious nod to!
