It's amazing the shapes old trees can get into. I like to make out faces in the patterns of the bark and branches.

A good set. Some hard contrast that does not detract from the theme. The backlit canopy in the first image really comes across well.

For me it's the first image that has the attraction - the black trunk and branches contrast beautifully against the backlit leaves, really nice composition and capture.

Such a curious sight. One could spend quite a while imagining shapes or objects in those twisted branches. I wonder how the tree came to grow that way.
