tv mode on k20

hi everyone, can you please tell me if this is right, on my k200 in tv mode if i set the ss to 400s it will fire no matter what even if the light is not enough, it just means the pics will come out black or to dark,
But on the k20 if set to 400s in dark light, it adjust the ss right down to what it thinks,
is this right,

Are you sure your in Tv mode and not TAv??

What your describing is TAv mode.

Only when you have Auto EV Compensation (via Custom menu) turned on.

I expect it's the same with the K200D.

I bet Scott's K20D is in Tv mode but has Auto EV Compensation enabled. This adjusts the shutter speed when it would be out-of-range otherwise.
