Turning off multiple exposures on K-5 - How?

I just bought a K-5 and find I am making multiple exposures when I don't want to. I went to the setting via the menu, but the range offered is 2 to 9 exposures. 0 is not offered. How do I turn it OFF?

Related (?) problem: Even when set to 2, it fires many more times than that.

Advice, please. Thanks

G'day and welcome Tony - Why not also let people know you're a member, by popping a message in the 'Just Joined' forum here?

Re your query:

Just to discount the obvious, are you sure your camera isn't set to 'machine gun mode' (continuous shooting), rather than multiple exposures? See p. 151 of the K5 manual.

Then read p. 155 of your manual re multiple exposures.

Lastly, ensure exposure bracketing is off (p.157), as that will also take a number of images, each with differing exposure settings.

Hope this helps.

Multiple exposure sets itself "off" after each use, right? So that can't be the problem.
