Tulip Twosome

Different ways of viewing the same subject....

Both outstanding. The colours in the first image are mesmerising. The only complaint would be the fairly strong edge for the top right tulip.

The mono is brilliant.

Yes, but when you view it full sized you don't see that. All you get is a close-up of the main subject - and it's first class.

Coloured version is superb...far more to my liking than the mono in my opinion...flowers are colourful for a reason!

That combination of body and lens look ideal for close up flower photography.

Yep.

Interesting! When I look at the colour image, I first see the main tulip then the picture as a whole. When I look at the mono image, I first see the picture as a whole then the man tulip. Strange, very strange... . But both are fine photos.

Two super images, definitely best viewed full size on a large screen.

As a mono fan unsurprisingly I favour the mono version, mainly because of the way it brings out the texture in the main subject.

The world would be a dull place if we all saw everything in exactly the same way

Just viewed these two on the monitor, beautiful both of them and I can't say which is my favourite, perhaps the colour one may just edge it.
