Trouble with my B

HELP ME!!! when i set my K-5 on B and take a photo, after the shutter has been releced i get a count down on the top plate with two small symbols? is this normal or am i being a pillock thanks for your time.

Not sure but if it's a long exposure (>30s), it might be the dark frame subtraction where the camera takes a second image with the shutter closed (for noise reduction purposes).

It's normal and you can switch it off somewhere in the menus.
