Tripod QR Plate

Has anyone got any suggestions of a good arca style QR plate for a tripod ball head?

Ive got a Giottos 1301 head with the non arca style plate and would like to change the plate to an arca style one.

Would there happen to be a budget or any other requirements such as weight "restrictions or needs" ?

its literally to replace the current tripod qr plate on the head i have. I wouldn't want to spend mega bucks but i don't want something that is going to drop my camera etc.

looking at the price of these things it looks like id just be better off buying a new ball head.

I converted a Manfrotto ball head to an Arca type QR plate with one of these link plus one of these link.

I don't know if they have one for your ballhead

Thanks. Ive had the clamp off my head and that looks like it will be a direct fit with the 3/8 thread. Plus its got male lugs on the head.

Are you happy with the quality and the clamping action?

It seems as solid as the original to me.

It arrived. Feels very nice. I wouldn't be disappointed if it was attached to a new ball head if i had just ordered one.

I had to drill the countersink hole out a tiny bit to fit my 3/8 mounting screw in (it didnt recess the last 1/2mm) and i have swapped the qr plate screw with the one off my original qr plate as it was a little beefier. Apart from that very happy.
