Well, they have had a top-notch 100mm and 200mm for many years. The latter is a legendary lens, and the former, in both FA and DA versions, is excellent.
Whenever a 200mm comes on the market, I have to be very strong-willed.

You are quite right, D FA it is.I know about the golden oldies and the oustanding quality of the 200, but I was unaware of a 100"DA"....I thought it was a "DFA!"....and I dont think much of it!..I thought they may bring out a HSM macro for us to play with...........
Surprised you don't like the F FA, though. I note some reviewers have criticised the wide-open performance(!), and others the lack of a focus-limiter. Most, however seem to like the bokeh.

Now there is a lens to make one drool... damn expensive though. Is that what those lenses usually go for?

Lots of film bodies, a couple of digital ones, too many lenses (mainly older glass) and a Horseman LE 5x4.

It's a beauty isn't It? But the seller is a bit paranoid, I think. Not excepting paypal and in all his stipulations it almost looks like he doesn't want to sell it.

The guy selling that lens is a member of this forum (distudio) and he has been trying to sell it for well over a year now. But he has come down in price since last time he had it listed.
So now is your chance George.

The seller is a well-known Pentax user who is quite clued-up about kit, of which he has/had a great deal. He normally frequents the PDML, and also the Whinge-Centre.It's a beauty isn't It?
