I have two families of Kingfishers in my garden and know exactly where they perch. Unfortunately the background from most angles is awful and pictures never do justice, and the only good angle is diagonally through double glazing !

When settling on some of the favoured perches, the 510mm focal length seems just right, so these are uncropped. Poor thing could have used a tissue though! Must have gone after that fish in shallow water.
Must say, I am loving this combo. I never got results that I liked with the DA*300mm + AFA on the K5, but on the K5IIs, the focus seems to be spot on right out the box, so it's now my favourite setup and I am leaving the Bigma at home more and more.
