Liked the first one more ! Don't you try long exposure with nd filter for such scenes ?

Yes indeed, I had read in a forum recently the effect was achieved this way, so I thought I'd have play. Reading the camera manual again perhaps I should have used the ,bright, option in composite?

I have tried 'multiple exposures' for long exposure effect without nd filter. On my K5ll max limit is 9 exposures. For desired effect you need to shoot in low-light conditions, use a narrow aperture (high f-number), a slow shutter speed (as long as your camera allows), and set your ISO to the lowest possible value. In bright daylight, even with a small aperture and low ISO, the exposure might still be too bright to achieve a long exposure effect without an ND filter. I, however, prefer long exposure nd filter way.

I agree, too bright a day, I have used nd filters for this particular waterfall before, but wanted a play again with minimal equipment, as being somewhat handicapped at the moment.
I was at f11 and iso 100 BTW. Lesson learnt
