so i have ordered a K-30 from SRS!!!

this will be the first time i have a current camera as my K100d and K200d were both bought after they'd been discontinued.

slightly excited, but also apprehensive. i love the simplicity of the older cameras and i'm only 'upgrading' as the K200 doesn't autofocus after i dropped it!

i'll keep the K100 (a replacement version as i wore out my original) as i LOVE the images it produces, especially with the 10-17.

just thought i'd share my excitement!
Pentax k1000, MX, ME Super, K5iiD 18-55, Tamron 70-300, Tamron 500 mirror, pentax 10-17, 50 1:4, a manual 28, some extension tubes and a bagful of memory cards. That's all i need... and a load of film cameras too... that's it, honest.

My 8 year old has a *istDS... I found the K-x much simpler (in terms of use) and my K5 even more so...

I think you misread the original post. Or you need new glasses.
