To finish

Just looked at the prices for prime wide lenses and the cost is way to much at this point in time for me any how. I have some old M lenses a 135,50.35 and a 28 but would like another two wider than 28 to finish my collection any thoughts guys. I have a Sigma 10/20 which works well but I think Im right in saying the benifit from a prime in regards to the IQ would prove the purchases well worth while.

PKA fit 24mm F2.8 from 3rd party manufacturers are quite readily available at a reasonable cost. I had a Vivitar that was not too bad IQ wise, I only sold it because I bought a Pentax 24mm from a forum member. I like 24mm on a APS digital and use the 24mm as my go lens when travelling light.

20mm Pentax A and M lenses come up a few times a month on eBay on eBay but they usually go for at least £250 - £300.

I think there are some 19mm third party lenses, possibly Vivitar and Cosina, but I have no experience of them

I highly recommend the M 20mm f4.0. It is a lovely little lens. Here is a picture I took with it on my K10:

Thanks Steve and Peter I will be on the look out for something next year now having just bought the new Kr. I will look into the lenses recomended, Im tempted by the M 20mm to be honest as all my M lenses are very nice.
