Time for repairs?

Maybe time for repairs, but first I would operate all controls and wheels vigorously to ensure there's no half contact anywhere. Then remove the battery, leave it out for a while and then start again.
Best regards, John

My K5 has something similar, for the last 4 months or so it has made a rattling noise from time to time when the camera has been in capture mode. Could be the mirror slapping around. Switching the camera off/on got rid of the fault for a while. It's gradually got worse over the last few months and is now in for repair. I'm left with my more reliable, but technicality inferior K10 -- and the photos show it.Had my K-5 lock up three times yesterday while shooting and today the mirror is flipping up multiple times when I turn the camera on.
