A shot taken on Sunday morning at a spot local to me. The pool was nice & still so thought i'd have a crack at a reflection from the mill.

Nice picture/reflection, would have cloned out the blades of grass myself as they are a bit off putting to me but that's just a personal thing.

Really good, love the reflections. Maybe the compo would be improved if the building was a bit more towards the centre, but I can see how you've completed it with that rising horizon line on the far left. No doubt there are plenty of framing options in this lovely spot.

Thanks guys.

I was thinking maybe I should take the grass out.

I would have liked to get a shot with the building further into the shot but thought this was the best option as there is another building to the right.

I like the building where it is. Rules are to be broken.

+1

I like the positioning here of the building ... Really striking. I'd have been proud to have produced this image

And for me I'd leave the grass in- it's what you shot ...

My sort of shot - I can not resist a reflection - and I suspect I would have taken it from exactly the same angle. Very nicely done and as for the grass - I don't find it at all distracting.

ditto re position of building. The building to the right has removed the temptation to make the composition weaker. As for the stalks of grass, secateurs are an essential part of a photographer's kit. Nice pic.

Thanks guys.

here's an edit minus the grass I started to wonder how it would look & have to say I think its a cleaner image without it.

I'm still not sure which I prefer. What do you think?

Nice work, lovely shot.

I think I *should* like it more with the grass cloned out but I don't - I prefer the original. The nice thing about preferences is that you don't have to justify them - it's just what you like, so here's a different crop that appealed to me.
