No, I don't mind at all! I got rid of a lot of the haze in CS5, but when I tried to get rid of more of it I didn't like what it did to the colours. Here's one I tried reducing the haze more, then correcting the colour. I decided I preferred it with more natural looking colours with a bit less contrast, but I'll have another fiddle with them. I'd be interested to know which people prefer.

Personally I like that version much more - far more detail is visible.
You could always use a selective brush to desaturate areas considered over-saturated (the sky in the 2nd shot I played with above for example) without removing detail from the mountains.

Thanks for the comments! It certainly is a stunning planet we live on!I feel lucky to be able to get shots like this, though it doesn't happen that often. However, sometimes time, place and weather all match up! I'd love to go to the Tibetan Plateau on the ground, it looks amazing, and I've always loved deserts.
Pauly, the lens used was a Sigma 24mm f2,8 Super-Wide II, manual focus, which doesn't matter from that height as it's parked at infinity! It's a great lens, perfect for this sort of photography, and comes with a 1-4 macro function as well. The best £30 I have ever spent! Though I still hanker after a Ltd. lens...

Jon you could probably publish a saleable book with your images from the flight deck. Call it This Stunning Planet and you'd have them queuing up at book shops for copies.

I agree with all of the above. My favourite is the third - the mountains are reaching out into space so it really emphasises their height. I agree that these views would make a very nice coffee table book, I'd definitely approach a few publishers.

Thanks for the comments, I hadn't thought beyond a Blurb book, for my own amusement and friends/family. I have been working erratically on it for a while....the working title is Through The Looking Glass, which is the folder name on my website and Flickr for aerial shots. After all these positive comments, maybe I'll approach a publisher...

The Tibetan Plateau, however, wasn't....
All pictures taken with the K7 and Sigma 24mm Super-Wide II, which is proving well worth the £30 I paid for it.
