I'm guessing you've been calibrating your lenses! In your cellar, by the looks of things

You answered one of those spam adverts and the miracle growth formula actually worked?

LOL.
I'm happy to say that no adjustment of focus was necessary for any of these lenses on my K-7.
Nothing particularly scientific, just hand-held with the ruler at 45 degrees against the (kitchen) wall. All three at f/2.

If you can't say something nice about Pentax, you won't say anything at all.
Apparently.

Not bad, I assume you focussed on the 18 inch mark
I'm also slightly worried (not to say nauseous), just what is that on the kitchen wall

If you had done it scientifically and properly you would probably be worried now!

Indeed, I'm actually coming to the conclusion that "Dust Alert", "pixel peeping" and other borderline OCD antics are the curse of digital photography. They worry people with perceived faults which are either down to the camera being confused (dust alert kept telling me I had sensor dirt with some lenses, but not others) or that simply won't show up in the real world. I'm forever wading through tables and graphs in search of some actual photos to base my opinion on!If you had done it scientifically and properly you would probably be worried now!
My approach to lens testing involves the garden wall from about five metres at f8, then maybe an interesting flower or leaf from as close as the lens will focus with the largest aperture.

Hehee ... yeah, it's not much of a kitchen. That's 50 year-old peeling paint. Makes for good bokeh though.

This is just not fair. Come on here, putting images of the FA Limiteds on showing excellent bokeh and sharpness, and us mere mortals not having a single limited in our intinery (spending our pennies on a K-5 instead)
Like I say not fair......
(The K-5 is mighty and will be worthy of the Limiteds for those who are incorrectly reading into my reply that I have got second best with a K-5....)
LOL

You can have a guess, but I'll post up my three reasons later.
