Those Who Never Sleep

I have a real big problem sleeping and for the last few months have been up till 3.30am and only going to bed as I feel I should at least try. I am up again at 7-8am to take the wife to work or to go on early shoots.
Pretty sad really, although it is nice watching the dawn breaking through

Got someone dear in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, was hoping to talk to her since a close family member of her just died.
It's here +1 btw so almost 2:30 now, I really should catch some sleep...

I will often wake up in the early hours and since I work from home will often use the opportunity to get some work done, which frees up time in the daylight hours for leisure activities.

Thank god for the holiday. Bummer....quitting smoking does cost me some sleep. That...,and a @#/!*&^%$ gnat, or whatever you call them here.

It is quite surprising how many people suffer sleep deprivation. I don't do too badly by comparison. Nod off at 11 wake about 5:30, doze and get up at 6:30. That said I'd like an extra hour. Don't you guys feel that you should try and address the situation?

Well we were fiddling with an image restoration till 2am, once you start it sort of captivates you....
Then up bright and breezy at around 7am, it really depends on how much sleep you need.
Some are fine on 3 or 4 hours, some need a good 9 hours...personally I just go with the flow as it does change from day to day!

I heard a very interesting radio program on this but sadly have forgotten most of it but the gist seemed to suggest that while you manage on 5 hours you need 8 but as you got older this just didn't happen so easily.
I think I'll go and have a rootle about. I would dearly love to get back to 8 hours a night but business worries killed my sleep patterns 20 years ago and I have never recovered from it although it's much better now.

Sounds interesting, but unfortunately the advice changes just as one moment eggs are bad for you, but at the moment they're good for you.
Sometimes even the same edition of the newspaper has totally contradictory stories on the same day.
Anybody who takes it all seriously must be so confused....

I manage my 8 hours + most nights lately. But then again I can fall asleep in the middle of the day at the moment too. Time to get the old thyroid checked again I fear.
