Thistle Head

Had a stroll around RHS Harlow Carr and found this type of thistle head so took the opportunity to try out the Pentax 35mm f2.8 HD macro. The image was then processed in Camera Raw to convert to B&W and apply a radial filter to darken the background to bring out the head detail. Comments most welcome.

A great example of where a close up photo of a plant changes from just being a record shot into art - super use of the point of focus and great choice of processing
